Hi there, my name is Lori Cardwell, and I'm a portrait photographer based in Indianapolis. I specialize in creating magazine-style portraits that capture your unique personality and can be cherished for generations to come. Additionally, I offer headshot and branding photography services specifically tailored for professionals and businesses who want to stand out in their market.
I am dedicated to ensuring that everyone, regardless of their age or size, has a portrait experience that helps them appreciate their natural beauty and feel confident in front of the camera. Here's how I do that:
First, we begin with a consultation session to discuss your preferences, wardrobe choices, and how you plan on using the images we create. Together we will also create a custom plan and mood board specifically for your photo session. One to two weeks before the shoot, I will schedule a consult with a wardrobe stylist to help you plan your wardrobe.
Next, we move on to hair and makeup, and I work with only the best stylists and makeup artists in Indianapolis. I believe that having professional hair and makeup is incredibly important and guarantees that your portraits will be exquisite and turn heads.
The photo session itself takes around three hours, with hair and makeup time included. During the shoot, I will take great care to photograph you like you are on the cover of a magazine.
Afterward, we will review your images together, and you choose which ones you would like to purchase. My pricing is per image, and what you decide to buy is entirely up to you. After editing, the final images are delivered to you via an online gallery link or with prints delivered to your home if you prefer.
Please keep in mind that I typically book sessions at least two weeks in advance, and I'm not available for sessions with less notice than that. However, I can sometimes accommodate standard headshot sessions without hair and makeup on a shorter timeline if necessary. Keep in mind that having enough time for planning is essential to achieving the best possible results in your portraits.
Finally, please note that I don't offer family portraits at parks or other outdoor locations. All sessions are scheduled in my studio, which includes a lovely wooded area with a park-like feel. I also do not schedule sessions on weekends, so please only request weekday dates for your shoot. Thank you!
