Hi there! I am Gaylene Cazier, and my lesson horse is Malcolm. Over the past 40 years, I have gained expertise in training, riding, and teaching for more than a decade. Malcolm, my quarter horse, is amiable, caring, and an eager companion for aspiring riders. My lessons are divided into three segments: first, I focus on teaching horsemanship, which includes horse care, grooming, saddling, bridling, and general knowledge on horses. Second, I train riders to develop an independent, well-balanced seat through guided gymnastic exercises while mounted. Finally, I boost their confidence by enabling them to handle the reins with ease using gentle instructions, paying attention to their breathing, rhythm, and bodily control. I provide my lessons in both outdoor and indoor arenas, characterized by a supportive and enjoyable ambiance that promotes a positive attitude towards learning. My ultimate aim is for my students to develop love, respect, and constructive communication with horses and acquire a secure foundation in riding skills that will enable them to progress safely and confidently in any discipline they choose.
