Lauren Elizabeth Tutoring & Editing

It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I'm Lauren, a highly experienced online tutor and editor. My credentials include a bachelor's degree in creative writing and a master's degree in social work.

For test prep, I help students demystify the process by imparting foundational knowledge and strategy. My specialty is helping students achieve high scores and reach their desired schools. I work with students experiencing test-taking anxiety and help boost their confidence. My recommended number of tutoring sessions is 8-10, and I have a proven track record of raising ACT scores by 3-5 points and SAT scores by 200-250 points. As an SAT test-taker, I scored in the 99th percentile. I offer a free 30-minute trial session to all prospective clients.

For editing, I assist clients in finding their voice and communicating effectively. I provide both developmental and copyediting services and offer Zoom meetings to clarify feedback after each pass of edits. I have edited numerous fiction and nonfiction manuscripts and have written for Newcity Chicago. Additionally, I have experience editing documents that are used in medical litigation cases. I'm also well-versed in working with non-native English speakers.
