Kimo's Akamai Catering

In tribute to my father's life as a chef, we organized a lovely buffet lunch. We recognized the significance of the food, particularly due to the attendance of fellow chefs from all over the island. Chef Kimo exceeded all of our expectations with his exquisite menu. The meal included my dad's signature desserts and a local selection of kailua pig, Komi salmon, poi, and other favorites, alongside a mouth-watering prime rib. We were thoroughly impressed and delighted with Akamai Catering and will certainly use their services for our forthcoming events.

For our Thanksgiving family reunion in early 2022, I enlisted Chef Kiko to tackle the cooking duties. Together we collaborated on a menu that would satisfy everyone's cravings, combining traditional Thanksgiving staples with a Hawaiian twist. The mouthwatering food was devoured quickly, with many family members going back for seconds and even thirds. Chef Kiko expertly cooked and set up the buffet-style meal, impressing us all with his attention to detail and creativity. I only regret not snapping a picture of the beautiful spread before it disappeared. Even my husband, a tough critic of others' cooking, praised the meal and was thrilled to wake up the next morning to relish the leftovers for breakfast. Chef Kiko's talent and skill with food were undeniable, and we won't hesitate to hire him again for future family gatherings on the island. We were blown away by the exquisite dishes he prepared right in our AirBnB. To top it off, Chef Kimo even cleaned up after himself, which was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Our group of six had a fantastic evening and we can't thank Chef Kimo enough for making it possible.
