Kevin is the go-to guy if you don't value your time and don't mind dealing with an unresponsive individual. Our initial impression of Kevin was positive, and we believed he was a trustworthy and straightforward person who could complete the job. We signed the contract in October and received our first draft in January. Kevin attributed the delay and lack of communication to the holiday season, which we understood. We went back and forth with revisions, and Kevin was very accommodating. We had initially selected a contractor recommended by Kevin, but we opted against moving forward with them due to some concerning issues. We informed Kevin in April that we would be choosing a new contractor and not submitting the permits. We found an excellent contractor shortly after and emailed Kevin in June to inform him that we would be submitting the plans soon. In July, we sent him an email with changes to the drawing, and he assured us he would get it done a week after returning from his trip. However, there was no response to our calls and emails for weeks. We eventually had to call Kevin every day before he sent us the revised plan, which was almost a month late. We were so frustrated with Kevin's unprofessionalism, but we were too close to the finish line to consider finding someone else. The worst part was when we submitted the permits, and the only part rejected by the city of Chicago were the architectural drawings by Kevin. Save yourself the trouble and go for a professional.
