As a private woodwind instructor and professional freelance musician, I specialize in saxophone and flute and also offer beginner to intermediate clarinet lessons. With a Masters in Jazz Studies from Manhattan School of Music and a BA in Classical and Jazz Performance from Michigan State University, I am well-versed in a variety of music genres. As an Adjunct Professor at Montclair State University teaching Jazz Studies, I bring significant experience to my lessons.
Recognizing that different students have varying preferences, I tailor my instruction to focus on individual aspects to maximize their growth in creativity and intellectuality. My lessons emphasize core concepts such as note reading, music theory, ear training, sight reading, technique, and improvisation. Regardless of level or pace, my students always receive encouragement.
Teaching is inherently rewarding for me; it is gratifying to guide and share my passion for this artistic form with my students.
