Anastacio, Kent's assistant, and Kent were both wonderful to work with. They did an outstanding job on our built-in cabinets, refacing them with new doors and drawers. Their ability to replicate the exact look we desired, with even higher quality doors, was impressive. The painted finish is flawless.

After the initial success of Kent and his team's work on our kitchen cabinet refacing, we've unfortunately encountered issues with paint bubbling and chipping. We've had to ask Kent back twice to fix the problem areas, but both times we were disappointed to find that the paint had been brushed over instead of sanded and resprayed as we were led to believe. Despite these efforts, the issues persist in the same spots and Kent acknowledges that it may have been due to an issue with the primer or unfavorable weather conditions during the spray application. As a result, it's disheartening to have gone through the effort of upgrading our kitchen cabinets only to experience these problems.

Kent was hired by me to update my kitchen cabinets that were originally constructed in 1969. Although they were in sound structural condition, the outward appearance was lacking in appeal. Due to their age, these cabinets did not have hidden or soft close hinges, which I hoped to achieve in the kitchen renovation. Various contractors informed me that the outdated and low-quality hinges were inevitable and couldn't be modified with new doors and drawers. Fortunately, Kent Merrill proved to be exceptional in this regard. Not only did he refurbish the exterior of the cabinet boxes, doors, and drawer faces with remarkable finesse, but he also installed soft close glides for the drawers and - wait for it - hidden soft close hinges! This was nothing short of miraculous, but Kent accomplished it with great mastery. He possesses exceptional expertise and professionalism, and I couldn't more highly recommend him for kitchen cabinet makeovers. If I ever need to redo another kitchen's cabinets, I would not hesitate to turn to Kent once again.

Kent performed exceptionally well in a highly demanding door installation task. He fixed frameless bespoke cabinet doors with concealed European hinges. Despite minor inconsistencies in some of the doors measuring 1/16", he proficiently shaved, refinished, and mounted them. I endorse Kent for his excellent craftsmanship.

Working with Kent was an absolute pleasure. He consistently showed up on time and was highly responsive throughout the project. The finished product, our newly painted kitchen cabinets in a stunning dark grey, was of impeccable quality. As an interior designer, I wholeheartedly recommend Kent Merrill Painting.
