Greetings, I am Kari Wilde, a photographer who specializes in capturing weddings and elopements. My home base is in Oregon, yet I consider myself fortunate to be able to travel all over the nation to photograph stunning weddings.
Allow me to share my style and aesthetic:
As evidenced by my photographs, I tend to lean towards a dark and moody atmosphere. My primary goal is to capture emotion, beauty, and authenticity in all of my images. My personal favorite photographs tend to be those taken during candid "in-between" moments. When I'm behind the lens, I envision my pictures as stills from a beautiful movie. In fact, I draw most of my inspiration for photography from the cinema, which can be quite annoying for those watching a movie with me, as I tend to focus more on the lighting and visual effects than on the plot!
My photography style thrives on darkness, shadow, light, and raw emotion. My passion is to convey the romance of the moment and the connection between individuals.
Henceforth, a vast majority (about 85%) of my clients often express self-doubt about their photo taking skills. But fret not, as I am there to guide them in every step of the way. From wardrobe selection, location scouting, to creating a comfortable atmosphere, I will be there for my clients.
