Out of my 5-6 moves in the past 12 years, this was undoubtedly the worst experience. When we were halfway through the move, the mover started complaining about extra boxes, even though they were clearly shown in the job post. I offered to pay extra for some additional items, such as lamps and dumbbells, but not for extra boxes. However, the mover still threw a tantrum and threatened to dump my possessions on the street. To make matters worse, they lied about having insurance and only one mover showed up instead of the promised two or three. My friend and I had to step in and help with the move.
The worst part of the experience was that the mover resorted to racial slurs directed towards my race. I would appreciate it if CrackerJack could review this mover. I am willing to speak to anyone who wants more details.
Unfortunately, the move resulted in several glass items and boxes labeled as fragile being broken. Despite doing most of the heavy lifting myself and with the help of my friend, I paid the full agreed amount plus a 20% tip in cash. I cannot recommend this mover to anyone.
