My requirement for my students is to write a daily journal, which stimulates our in-class discussions. I believe that journaling is a highly efficient way of teaching language since it amalgamates reading, writing, and speaking into one activity.
To keep our courses engaging and stimulating, I incorporate various aspects of Japanese culture and lifestyle into each class, from food, music, art, manners, to current events.
Since I have personally gone through the challenges of learning a second language, I prioritize sensitivity and patience when working with my students.
