I reside in Brooklyn and work as a musician. I spent my formative years in Japan and am an alumnus of Berklee College of Music's bass performance program. I am presently endorsed by Michael Tobias Design (MTD USA) and La Bella Strings, in addition to being recognized with the privilege of hosting a bass seminar alongside Paul Jackson (The Headhunters) in Japan. I have collaborated with numerous distinguished artists, such as Rotimi, Skales, Bisa Kdei, Okeame Kwame, Ycee, Efya, Praiz, 9ice, and DJ Tunez, to mention a few. Furthermore, I was a finalist in the Desiigner audition. For various years, I have been instructing bass and have fulfilled educational roles in music organizations like CampJam.
I emphasize bass-oriented theory, ear training, technique, reading music, improvisation, and expanding one's song collection with all of my pupils. I motivate all of my students to bring in iconic bass lines from diverse genres for us to study together and help them nurture their passion for music!
It brings me great joy to witness the advancement of my students into remarkable musicians!

Junichi is an outstanding tutor. Despite my inexperience in playing instruments, he has been very patient and proficient in explaining the concepts, while also incorporating enjoyable songs for practical learning, alongside music theory. I had my initial bass lesson with Junichi today and I must say, I am thoroughly content. After considering numerous options, I feel confident in my choice. Junichi made me feel comfortable right away and began teaching me a song I've been yearning to play; La Flaca by Harabe de Palo. What impressed me most was his skill in keeping me at ease throughout the entire class. He also introduced me to various software programs to help with the learning process and make the most of our time together. I am eagerly anticipating my next lesson and believe we need more instructors like Junichi.
