Joyce Jacobsen, a trained and patient music expert with exceptional people skills, is now teaching remotely on Zoom from her home studio in Wareham, MA. With a BA in Performance, Joyce has been teaching voice and piano to students of all ages for years. She's also a performer with 2 groups and teaches in all styles, including Gospel, R&B, Music Theater, Jazz, Pop, Classical Art Song, and Opera. Joyce is even proficient in teaching students in many languages and has a large music library in her studio. She can help beginners to professionals achieve their goals and prepare them for any special performance or audition. If you want to improve and protect your voice while enjoying the learning process, Joyce is the right teacher for you. For my partner's birthday, I bought singing lessons and we opted to take them jointly. On Zoom, Joyce greeted us while sitting behind her piano and was enthusiastic about helping us enjoy ourselves while also discovering more about our distinct voices and their comparisons to other artists. Neither of us had ever taken singing lessons beforehand, so it was quite enjoyable and insightful. With additional lessons and practice, we believe that we could make significant strides! I intend to engage Joyce's services again.

Starting voice lessons as an older student made me quite hesitant. However, Joyce exudes professionalism, punctuality, and constructive feedback while also bringing positivity and encouragement to each session. She is understanding of my work schedule, which often requires me to change appointment times, and she has generously provided me with extra time on occasion to ensure I get the most out of each lesson.
