Description:

Providing full-service audio production, engineering, mixing, and mastering, I offer everything needed to bring your musical ideas to life, whether it be from scratch or mixing pre-recorded tracks. With my experience, my composing and production have been featured on both radio and TV. My expertise in keys, vocals, percussion, and programming spans across various genres, such as rock, folk, pop, hip-hop, R&B, alternative, and jazz. I have worked with a wide range of musicians, from Grammy winners to newcomers.

I have been actively playing keys, accordion, percussion, and vox for over 25 years. My credits include performing on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Last Call with Carson Daly, as well as touring with various groups, including The Adam Ezra Group, Wheat, Soulwork, HoneyPot, and Van Gogh's Ear. I have also shared stages with well-known artists, including The Counting Crows, Liz Phair, The Wailers, OK Go, Michael Franti, Colin Hay, Indigo Girls, Rusted Root, Corey Smith, Blues Traveler, Willie Nelson, Marshall Tucker Band, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Ziggy Marley, Deer Tick, Dwight Yoakam, Los Lobos, Gavin DeGraw, and many more.

I am the owner, engineer, and producer of The Basement Studio in Malden, MA. I am dedicated to helping artists achieve their musical vision and am passionate about working with those who share my enthusiasm for music. The studio is fully equipped to cater to a range of musical styles, with its Pro Tools-based set-up and innovative virtual instruments and plug-ins. Whether it is recording drums, guitar, bass, or keys, you can be sure that the final product will sound great!

The Basement Studio is located in Malden, MA, and you can start at $40 per hour for engineering, production, and mixing. Alternatively, you can opt for a custom rate based on the individual project. Our studio houses a full drum kit, bass amp and cab, guitars, and vintage and digital keys. Although not a large studio, we possess all the tools necessary to deliver exceptional results.

Josh did an outstanding job recording my band's first EP. Although we had a strict schedule of recording, mixing, and mastering four songs in three weeks, Josh surpassed our expectations and completed the project with time to spare. Beyond his remarkable time management skills, Josh's professionalism and talent shone through every aspect of his work. Not only was he a pleasure to work with, but his creative instincts led to the inclusion of unique effects, transitions, and layers that perfectly complemented each of our songs.
