Jonathan - Math Tutor

Hello there! My name is Jonathan and I graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Applied Mathematics. My journey as a tutor started 9 years ago when I worked at The Tutoring Center in Texas. This experience propelled me towards freelance tutoring and a teaching fellowship in mathematics and physics departments while studying at Texas A&M University. After completing my degree, I taught high school mathematics for two years before returning to freelance tutoring work.

As a tutor, I utilize the Socratic method which involves asking thought-provoking questions to stimulate students' critical thinking skills. This approach enables students to comprehend concepts instead of just memorizing them for an exam. My teaching method ensures that students maintain the knowledge acquired and remain confident in their future coursework and during final exams.

I offer tutoring sessions for all ages and levels of math, up to Calculus AB. Moreover, I can also assist you in preparing for SAT, ACT or GRE exams. My availability depends on my schedule and the number of students I have at any given time; however, I strive to accommodate my clients as much as possible.
