I am a classically trained guitarist who is versatile in all genres of music. My current residence is in Beaufort, SC. I have the ability to play music by ear or sight-read, and possess a well-rounded knowledge of the guitar's history and music theory. I have performed at numerous events such as weddings, concerts, and jazz and classical festivals. I also enjoy sharing my musical skills with others, particularly when teaching my students the proper techniques of playing the guitar. Many students tend to overlook the importance of solid techniques and often focus solely on learning riffs and chords. This approach can lead to frustration and ultimately impede progress. I emphasize finger exercises that help to strengthen abilities and lead to successful playing of chords and riffs. My ultimate goal is to help my students become confident guitarists who can play with ease and enjoyment.
