Greetings, I'm Joan - a skilled Piano Tuner/Technician and Guitar/Piano instructor with more than three decades of expertise. I'm great with children and won't frighten your furry pets.

~ Top-notch Tuning - As an alumnus of Boston's finest piano technology academy, I'll handle your piano tuning needs with ease. Whether it's sticky, buzzy, or rattling keys, I can fix it all (occasionally for free, depending on the repairs required).
~ I rely on my ear for all tuning sessions. No gadgets needed. I will clean your piano, examine all its components, and provide an on-site estimation.
~ Evaluations and assessments - Unsure if your piano is still functional? I'll give a written or verbal appraisal of its value, or provide an estimate of the repairs required to make it operational again.
~ Humidity systems - Alterations in humidity can negatively impact pianos. I've been fixing piano humidity systems for over 20 years now. My prices are reasonable and include installation fees.
~ My accomplishments in piano tuning include Waldorf Astoria, Bono (U2), Lorne Michaels (SNL), Roberta Flack, Ivana Trump, The Everly Brothers, Steve Kroft (60 Minutes), Maria from Sesame Street, Amy Lee (Evanescence - "Wake me Up Inside"), Frankie Lane, and Celeste Holm.

With Joan's guidance, I successfully completed my first tuning of an old piano while being informed of possible setbacks such as broken strings. We received an old piano that hadn't been tuned in years, and Joan did an excellent job of double tuning it. She went into detail about the piano and how factors like humidity and changes of the season can influence its tuning. Because we don't play the piano ourselves, but got it for our son's lessons, Joan's knowledge was incredibly useful. The piano now looks and sounds fantastic, and we plan to rely on Joan for all future tunings.
