Joan's Personal Training
For seven years, I have been a certified Personal Trainer, accredited by both the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America and the International Fitness Association. My fitness experience extends back almost 20 years, during which time I have attended weekly Jazzercise strength training and aerobic classes, spending between six to ten hours per week. I have also been trained as a Jazzercise instructor, in addition to holding an extra certification as a Personal Trainer that specializes in senior clients aged 50 and over.
Complementing my fitness teaching experience, I have a medical, physiological, anatomical and nutritional background acquired through various training and professional activities, including CPR and First Aid certification. I possess vast knowledge and expertise in working with different health conditions, such as diabetes, arthritis and back problems, and adept at tailoring nutritional requirements to suit a range of dietary needs. Prior to becoming a Personal Trainer, I worked as a Psychologist, and have experience working with clients across different age groups, ranging from young children to senior citizens.
My personal training clients come from many age ranges, ranging from 15 to 74. Most of my clients demand strength training exercises to achieve firm, toned and strengthened muscles. To ensure that each client’s exercise routine is individualized and effective, I create a wellness program centered around their needs, objectives and progress, in every hourly session. The session consists of a warm-up, strength training exercises, stretching and flexibility movements, all designed to enhance the overall fitness experience.
I take enormous satisfaction in aiding clients of diverse ages to achieve their weight and fitness objectives. Helping people to live healthier lives and contributing to their overall wellbeing is rewarding and gratifying. I love sharing in their progress towards success, and have proven results of my senior clients who are now able to accomplish daily activities more easily.
