In light of the current situation, the health and well-being of our students, their families, and our team is of utmost concern. We're following CDC guidelines and have transitioned to virtual lessons. As a result, we have more availability for lessons than ever before. We have decades of experience with virtual lessons and offer Guitar, Vocals, Bass Guitar, Ukulele, and Songwriting and Production lessons through FaceTime, Skype, and other digital platforms. We want to do our part in preventing the spread of this terrible disease and encourage everyone to take this time to appreciate their loved ones. Jim Steed Music LLC has been teaching for over 36 years, specializing in lessons for children. We now teach students from all over the country. Our virtual lessons use a song-based teaching system, which is both fun and enriching, to ensure our students learn while enjoying themselves. We also provide clear lesson plans with goals, achievement levels, and performances. The lessons imparted by Jim were truly remarkable. With an abundance of skill and a calm demeanor, he made everything lucid for me. Within a mere month, I harnessed better techniques and ramped up my pace too. While searching for a guitar instructor for my 13-year-old son, I came across Jim. My son has been teaching himself to play for over a year and has made remarkable progress. Nonetheless, I felt that he had hit a plateau and needed an experienced teacher to take him to the next level.
I was immediately impressed by Jim's positive demeanor and encouragement. After discussing my son's abilities, we both agreed that he would benefit from some guidance. Jim was accommodating and scheduled our first lesson within three days of our meeting.
My son has ADHD and is possibly on the autism spectrum. Jim's patience and engaging attitude made my socially-awkward child comfortable and at ease. This was a green flag to me because it is uncommon for my son to respond positively to new people. After the first lesson, Jim encouraged my son with positive affirmations and shared other tools that could help him improve. He also promptly responded to all of my questions and concerns.
Although we are still in the early stages of lessons, I have nothing but positive feedback for Jim. His rates are slightly higher than some other instructors, but I firmly believe that he is worth every penny. I am excited to see how much progress my son will make under Jim's guidance.
