Salem is where I am based and I offer lessons to students of all ages and skill levels for violin, viola, and cello. I also provide instruction in sight reading, music theory, and various musical styles. My approach is customized to accommodate individual strengths and learning styles, recognizing that everyone has their own pace and style of learning. In my opinion, making music is a form of art that should be enjoyed rather than rushed. As an instructor, it brings me great satisfaction to see my pupils master their instruments and rise to the challenges that come with it.

My lessons with Fiddling around music are a source of great enjoyment because of Jenny's wonderful teaching style. With her expert guidance, I have been able to learn music theory, proper technique, and how to produce beautiful melodies from my violin. Jenny takes great care to ensure that the music she selects for her students is tailored to their personal preferences and tastes.
My own violin is an old model from the late 1800s that had been long neglected, but with Jenny's help, I was able to revive its sound by changing the strings, bow, and chin rest. As a mature student in my sixties, I am grateful for Jenny's sensitivity to my physical limitations and she has been very accommodating of these limitations.
Jenny is a truly kind and approachable person, and I am delighted to recommend her to anyone who is interested in learning to play the violin, regardless of age or ability. You will find her lessons to be an inspiring and fulfilling experience that will leave you with a lifelong love of music.

Despite being told by various people that I was too old to learn the violin, it had always been a dream of mine. Thanks to Jenny's unwavering encouragement, I gained the confidence to start learning. Despite beginning from scratch with no prior knowledge of music notes or anything, I was able to learn a lot.
