Kyoko Jennings, the founder of Jennings Dance Project, is a San Diego-based dance instructor with over 7 years of experience in choreography and dance. She has earned a Bachelor's degree in Dance and a minor in Education Studies from the University of California San Diego, and an AA degree in Liberal Arts and Humanities from Southwestern College. Kyoko teaches all levels, from beginners to advanced students, including kids, teens, and adults. Additionally, she is a successful dance competitor, having participated in prestigious events such as the Summit Championship in Latin Dance styles like Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, and Cha Cha Cha, and has also been part of the Kruciaal Elements hip hop dance team.
Kyoko has created and taught dances for various special events such as Quinceaneras, Sweet Sixteen's, weddings, Bat Mitzvah, Debut, and many others. Her team, the Jennings Dance Project Team, has performed at numerous events around San Diego, providing excellent entertainment through hip hop, burlesque, and Latin dance. Moreover, the team's professional dancers are also available for rent, which is perfect for those looking to add some extra glitz and glamour to their dance performance, as well as to receive dance lessons right at their event.
Kyoko also offers her services as a traveling choreographer, charging an additional fee of $160 per hour for those living in Oceanside, Carlsbad, San Marcos, Escondido, Alpine, and Vista. This comes with the benefit of having two instructors, one male and one female, which makes it much easier for wedding couples to follow along and progress their dance skills in partner work. You can also receive your 7th lesson free, as well as music editing.
Kyoko has acted in various venues throughout San Diego County since the age of 16. She has been trained by experts such as Adrian R'Mante (Suite Life of Zack and Cody), Matthew Timmons (Suite Life on Deck), Tyler Steelman (17 again) Geno Seger (Pair of Kings), and many more.
Kyoko's choreography has been featured in productions like "Green Day American Idiots" (2018) as Assistant Choreographer, "Godspell the Musical" (2017) as Assistant Choreographer, and "I am Untitled" (2016) as the Hip Hop Choreographer for the Bonita Valley Community Church.
