Hi, I'm Josh Duran, the owner of J&B Keysystems, which provides both locksmith services and piano tuning/restoration. I've completed tradeschool for both locksmith and piano technology, and hold a professional Texas Locksmith License #B10456101. Prior to starting my business, I managed the Lockshop for Texas Tech University, and held locksmith positions at UT Southwestern Medical Center and Texas State University. I have also worked as a safe mechanic and master key system installer in Austin.

For piano tuning, I am certified by both the Piano Technician Academy and Master Piano Technicians of America. In addition to tuning for piano competitions, private piano schools, and churches/synagogues, I am also the official tuner for Texas Woman’s University. I am able to tune to A432, or any alternative tuning requests. I repair damaged pianos as well, and can address issues such as action repair, sticky keys, squeaky pedals, cracked soundboards, loose tuning pins, and string replacement.

My locksmith services include auto unlock (documentation required), key duplicates and engraving, commercial and residential rekeying, lock installation (deadbolts, cabinets, closures, and continuous hinge), key impressioning (when no keys are available), electronic locks, storage unit lock removal (documentation required), master key systems, and interchangeable core service.

For piano services, I offer standard tuning at A440, alternative tuning with custom temperament, pitch raising, keytop replacement, voicing, regulation, damper replacement, wood repair and finish, squeaky pedal repair, action repair, and string replacement for both bass and treble.
