I find her classes to be enjoyable, especially when she shares knowledge about the Japanese people, society, traditions, and everyday life that is highly valuable.

Miku-san is amazing! I started learning Japanese for fun as I travel to Asia every year and I thought it would be useful. Due to COVID, my plans for this year changed but my Japanese lessons have been helpful in another way. I am now able to understand some of the sentences in my anime shows without being glued to the screen all the time. All of this progress has been made in less than a year of taking lessons. Miku-san is excellent at teaching vocabulary and she is incredibly patient, which is something I truly appreciate. Despite the distance between us, she is very accommodating with scheduling our lessons. I can't speak highly enough of Miku-san, and I eagerly anticipate every lesson. 😊

My personal understanding of the Japanese language has been greatly enhanced by Miku's exceptional assistance. Miku has consistently been punctual and available for lessons almost every week. Despite my incessant question-asking, she has patiently answered each one to the best of her ability, without causing confusion for someone new to Japanese. Working through the Genki 1 textbook together, Miku has primarily aided my grammar. During each lesson, I am required to form Japanese sentences, and Miku's corrections are incredibly helpful. She takes the time to explain even the smallest reasons why a particular phrase should be used instead of an alternative. While I cannot vouch for other tutors, as Miku is my first one, I can confidently recommend her to anyone in search of a tutor who is both easy to understand and easy to communicate with.
