In 2018 and 2021, I completed my undergraduate and graduate studies in Flute Performance at BYU. My passion for studying music and history drives me, and I'm eagerly anticipating sharing my excitement with my students!
With nine years of teaching experience, I cater to students of all levels, ranging from novices to advanced learners. I conduct in-person lessons at my Mesa, AZ residence and provide online tutoring via video conferencing platforms like Zoom, GoogleMeet, or Facetime.
Irrespective of your musical objective, I am convinced that investing in musical education is priceless. Are you a beginner, a striving band member, preparing for college auditions and high school competitions, or just having fun learning the flute? If so, together, we can set specific goals and routines to achieve success and personal fulfillment. I expect my students also to be dedicated to our set goals, regardless of their purpose.
During our learning sessions, the core principles of flute playing, including tone, technique, and musical style and interpretation, will be my focus. I am also passionate about discovering musical history as well as theory to build your music collection. Good practice habits and varying training tools are two essential traits of a disciplined musician we will develop. Since playing the flute necessitates endurance and body self-awareness, I challenge all my students to engage in physical activity. Together, we will cultivate healthy posture and playing to prevent potential injuries.
I'm thrilled to team up with you on this journey!
