Having obtained degrees in Performance, Songwriting and Music Production from Berklee College of Music in 2016, I was honored to receive the Latin American scholarship upon my successful audition for the program. Prior to my music studies, I earned a Business degree from Lima University in Lima-Peru.
I possess over 20 years of experience playing the guitar and have been teaching private lessons for approximately 14 years, during which time I have focused on various styles including classical, rock, blues, pop, jazz, folk and fusion. In addition to guitar, I provide instruction in songwriting, production, and mixing.
Presently, I am teaching at the distinguished music school, "Musicians' Playground," while also performing with my band, "Nodus," as well as contributing to other projects.
My passion for teaching stems from my desire to help students develop musically, not only by reproducing notes but by understanding and feeling the music. One of the things I enjoy about teaching is the fact that both the student and instructor learn alongside one another during each session.

Ever since October 29, 2020, I've been receiving fantastic guitar lessons from Jaime. It's been a year and a half of top-notch instruction and guidance. Jaime is extremely reliable, always available to answer my questions and fulfill my needs. His calendar is flexible to ensure we can always have class. Our sessions typically begin with finger exercises across the fretboard, followed by practicing the songs we're currently working on. He's also taught me about guitar theory as well as song recording and production.
My speed and technical skills have vastly improved due to Jaime's guidance. I can now play rock songs that once seemed impossible for me to play. Furthermore, Jaime assisted me in understanding the fretboard with chord shapes and triads. He always has a song or lesson tailored to my current skill level.
