J Custom Construction completed the kitchen and bathroom within budget and on time, which was beyond my expectations since most renovations usually entail extra costs and delays. My small outdated kitchen was transformed into a modern open space by their excellent service.

Although it appeared to be a simple project initially, Jose and his team had to tackle some tough challenges along the way. They provided expert guidance and handled each step effortlessly, without imposing extra costs for additional work. The end result is stunningly beautiful! I would certainly recommend them and hire them again in the future.

Working alongside Jose and his team has been quite an experience. Although he did show up and completed the concrete foundation job well, the way he handled building the shop and carport was a different story altogether. We had procured the materials in exacting measurements, but unfortunately, the actual usage did not match our specifications. It was as if there was a breakdown in communication. Moreover, the crew he brought in left our property in shambles treating it like any uncaring job site. They paid no heed to anything that came in their way, leaving bottles and garbage strewn all over the place whenever they came over. Towards the end of the project, just when everything seemed to be falling in place, he abruptly announced that the cost of building the carport had skyrocketed tenfold. His excuse was that he had mistakenly left off a zero from the original quote. We had no option but to negotiate a final payment, which still ran seven times higher than our original budget. The resultant craftsmanship of our carport was shoddy, to say the least, with everything appearing crooked and completely different from the plan. Jose's misuse of the materials we had procured earlier had forced us to buy additional materials, further increasing our budget. We cannot, in good faith, recommend his company for carpentry services. While his concrete work was satisfactory, we urge you to obtain Jose's offer in writing, duly signed, and hold him accountable to it.

Jose and his team are exceptional in their knowledge, efficiency, promptness, and professionalism! Recently, they completed a 16 x 12 addition for a guest room/office attached to our garage, within the stipulated budget and a record time of three and a half weeks. Jose provided us with a workable schedule and quoted us a very reasonable amount for the entire project, including demolition, new concrete, haul off, structural concrete pad, framing, roofing, stucco, flooring, electrical and paint. Upon signing the contract, they commenced work the following day and delivered beyond our expectations in every aspect. We cannot speak enough about the outstanding qualities of Jose and his team, being the perfect package for an overall satisfactory job. Working with them has earned us a lifetime of a reliable contractor, thus making them our go-to for any future contracting job.
