In-Home Violin and Guitar Lessons

As a multi-instrumentalist, I can play violin, guitar, trumpet, and sing! I started learning classical violin at the age of 8, and grew up playing old-time fiddle music alongside my mother in New Hampshire. Exploring new instruments has always been my passion, and I became more serious about playing guitar in college and continued to play in various bands afterwards. I believe that music lessons should be enjoyable, creative, and promote musicality. During my lessons, you will learn how to read sheet music, play by ear, and incorporate basic music theory. My ultimate goal is to encourage your expression and connection to the instrument.

I am thrilled to offer violin and guitar lessons to beginners of all ages! Whether you want to learn classical music or old-time fiddling, we will have a conversation about your goals and passions to determine the best approach for you. I have played in a number of bands and ensembles, taught violin lessons at Wheeler School in Providence, RI, and coached bands at Girl's Rock, and I am excited to teach you!

I am located in Virginia Highland and offer in-home lessons in nearby neighborhoods.

Due to the nature of violin technique, I am not offering Zoom lessons at this time because I want to provide the best possible learning experience. However, I will take all necessary precautions to ensure our lessons are safe. I have limited my non-essential activities and have been fully vaccinated. Depending on your circumstances and the evolving information about the pandemic and vaccine, we can discuss options involving masking, indoor/outdoor settings, and more.
