- Starting in 2020, any replacement breakers, new lines of power, or panel upgrades require a surge arrestor that installs into the panel. A whole house GFCI system costs anywhere from $400 to $800, depending on the brand of your panel. Many electricians do not adhere to this law, which protects electronic valuables from code 230.67.
- Replacement circuit breakers up to 30A and up to 2 poles: $225 each, including material costs, for Homeline, QO, Siemens, and Eaton breakers.
- Replacement circuit breakers up to 30A and up to 2 poles (GFCI/AFCI type): $365 each, including material costs, for Homeline, QO, Siemens, and Eaton breakers. These breakers typically cost over $100 after tax.
