Since its establishment in 2000, Haut Monde Sound has contributed to numerous records, EPs, movies, and special projects. Situated in Carlstadt, NJ, founder and chief engineer Jason Kronick takes pride in delivering top-notch quality to every project he undertakes. The studio prioritizes boutique stylings and uses high-end equipment with production sensibilities. Singer-songwriters benefit from the warm ambience and access to high-end microphones, including the vintage U47, U48, and Manley Reference models, to name a few. Jason is a skilled drummer who can provide authentic acoustic drum tracks to any composition. Haut Monde is also affiliated with other top-notch session musicians who are available upon request for any instrument. At the heart of the studio is a vintage Steinway C, which stands at 7'5", and was rebuilt in 2019. This sublime piano is a must-have for any real piano project, and Jason, being a piano technician, ensures that it's always in perfect condition. The studio primarily caters to solo/duo artists but can accommodate 3-4 piece groups with comfort. Throughout the years, Haut Monde has worked with many clients, including notable artists such as Bakithi Kumalo (Paul Simon's longtime bassist), Dennis Diken (drummer for Smithereens), Andy Jennison (Roger Waters), Blac Rabbit band, Greg McMullen (Chris Whitley), Gucci, and Whole Foods Market.
