With a degree in ministry and certification from the University of New York Institute of Art and Design for wedding planning, I have over 25 years of experience as a day-of wedding planner and coordinator. My expertise includes counseling, full wedding planning, coordinating with vendors, and overseeing all activities from start to finish. To ensure an accurate review, we waited until we spoke with guests to get the full picture. While we had difficulty finding a coordinator, we were fortunate to hire Gwen. She was punctual, easy-going, and helped with several aspects of the wedding, including cake cutting, temperature taking, crowd control, and coordinating the ceremony. Gwen ensured the wedding party had everything they needed and even put ice in our room for our champagne. We appreciated her help, but there were a few hiccups. The wedding party was confused by last-minute changes, and guests felt the coordination was disorganized and lacked clarity. We managed to move the wedding from indoors to outdoors with the help of guests, but we wish we had communicated better with Gwen and Crystal beforehand. Crystal, the assistant coordinator, has room for improvement and returned a perfectly fine appetizer stand, claiming it was broken. Aside from these issues, we would still recommend Gwen as a coordinator. It's important to be clear with what you need and to stay in communication with the coordinators.
