Description:

Having been certified by the USPTA for over 30 years, I possess extensive teaching experience, catering to an array of pupils ranging from adults and juniors to accomplished Touring Pro’s. My training began at the tender age of 7, mentored by the revered Hall of Famers, Pancho Segura and Pancho Gonzales. Pancho Segura was highly regarded by his contemporaries as an exceptional tactician and a technical instructor par excellence, earning him the nickname “Coaches Coach”.

I have nurtured an enduring love for tennis throughout my life. It brings me immense joy to witness the satisfaction on the faces of my students upon understanding and rectifying technical or tactical errors, which they can then apply during match play. There is no greater fulfillment than observing my young charges mature into well-rounded individuals both on and off the court. Offering children tennis lessons is a priceless gift, yielding lifelong dividends. It opens up endless opportunities and serves as an invaluable tool in instilling a sense of self-confidence.

For approximately two years, our daughter has been in a relationship with Gary, who has proven himself to be an exemplary mentor and coach for teenagers. In addition to teaching them the mechanics of tennis, he has instilled in them the significance of maintaining a sound physical and mental state. Words fail to express how exceptional Gary is. We are confident that our daughter will continue to participate in this sport for the rest of her life. We are incredibly appreciative of meeting Gary and for his positive effect on our daughter.

Gary excels in the sport of tennis, exhibiting a keen ability to notice and provide nuanced recommendations for enhancing shot-making and rhythm. During one of our sessions, he evaluated my two-handed backhand and suggested a courageous move to switching to a one-handed technique. Despite conventional wisdom suggesting that older individuals are resistant to change, Gary taught me each aspect of the mechanics and swing process in fine detail. He prides himself on always being prompt and his expertise on the sport is unrivaled. Thanks to his father-in-law, who is a well-known figure in the tennis community, Gary has a deep understanding of how leading players practice, think, and approach the game of tennis.
