As a seasoned Tutor, I derive immense satisfaction from helping people and students enhance their French. With 17 years of experience under my belt, I am well-versed in the subtle nuances of private tutoring versus classroom teaching. The one-on-one approach allows for personalized instruction tailored to your pace, which is often not possible in a class of 30. I ensure that students grasp every concept, and we work in a relaxed atmosphere targeted towards their specific needs.

My tutoring journey began in France in 2006, initially focusing on English and French. Over the years, I have tutored over 105 students, including AP test candidates and graduates, besides conducting 28 small group classes. As everyone has their own rhythm, I mold my teaching technique according to your pace.

I have worked with reputed institutions such as K&L Wine Merchants, Houlihan Lokey, Palantir, Apple, Adobe, Blizzard, Biocodex, and the International Criminal Court in la Hague, assisting their employees to improve their French language skills.

In 2015, two of my students cleared the French III exam with flying colors, which is a testament to my teaching abilities. Furthermore, 13 of my students cleared the AP test between May 2016 & May 2021, showcasing their proficiency in French.

For instance, when preparing for the AP French exam, I encountered difficulties with grammar rules not explicitly taught in class. Sophie approached the situation by first identifying my weak spots in French grammar, followed by creating a schedule that incorporated a lesson and grammar exercises she designed. The lessons were delivered explicitly, explaining the nuances of the grammar structures and common errors to watch out for. The grammar exercises also adequately tested my understanding of each lesson. During our subsequent meeting, Sophie explained each error and provided a way forward to avoid similar mistakes in the future.
