I have a proven track record of success in teaching singers of all ages over many years. My students have experienced significant growth in developing and maintaining a solid vocal technique, allowing them to explore and sing exciting, varied repertoire.
My career began as a boy soprano touring the United States at the age of 10 in Gian Carlo Menotti's Christmas opera, "Amahl & the Night Visitors." This gave me an early start in the performing arts and I specialize in working with very young singers. However, I am also very effective in working with older singers, helping them to find, develop, and maintain their vocal instrument. I am the perfect teacher to help them learn, study, and sing their ideal songs, be it classical, opera arias, musical theater, Irish, or religious repertoire.
As a countertenor, my extraordinary vocal instrument and repertoire spans five centuries of music, from Monteverdi's L'Orfeo to creating the role of Hegai in the world premiere of Weisgall's Esther for my New York City Opera debut. I have performed at prestigious venues around the world, from Carnegie Hall to the Teatro Reggio in Turin. I have won top prizes in major international vocal competitions and secured performance contracts in France and Spain.
In addition to my performing career, I am a sought-after and acclaimed private vocal teacher and coach with an active studio in New England. I am passionate about sharing my love of singing and guiding my students' growth and progress. Every student walks away from their lesson with reinforced technique, new interpretive skills, and a passion to bring joy to others and themselves through their singing.
