Helping others succeed in any endeavor brings immense satisfaction, perhaps the greatest in life. Since 1992, I have been teaching golf and my passion for helping golfers reach their full potential continues to grow. Nowadays, lessons take a different form - I analyze swing videos sent to me and schedule live lessons over Zoom, Skype, or Google Meet. All students, regardless of age, experience, athleticism, or gender, can expect to receive professional and respectful treatment. Watching my students develop new and improved habits is a wonderful process that I cherish.
As a stickler for pre-swing fundamentals, I emphasize proper grip, posture, and alignment, as they are the root cause of many swing flaws. I challenge my students with dynamic drills to reinforce the targeted feel or position, and I use slow-motion video and photos to give them immediate feedback. After each lesson, I send a comprehensive recap via email that plays an important role in the learning process.
My goal is to teach my students to become their own instructor, equipped with the necessary knowledge, encouragement, and motivation. I guarantee that their confidence and competence will be at an all-time high after taking a lesson or series of lessons with me. They will be able to self-correct when encountering a problem on the golf course, avoiding the frustration that plagues many golfers.
I am blessed to meet many wonderful people from different walks of life through my job. In incorporating a different approach for each individual, I enjoy hearing about their unique backgrounds, challenges, and ultimate goals. Even though practicing golf may not be the most favorite pastime, I strive to make it more enjoyable and effective.
