Hi, I'm Sarah - an experienced ESL Language and Communication Coach who has been training and coaching clients in academic and business contexts for over 20 years. My clients typically hire me to help them break the accent barrier, improve their workplace communication skills, and provide language development support to enhance fluency, vocabulary, and listening skills.

During our first conversation, I'll ask about your short-term professional goals, and we'll identify the language and communication skills you need to improve so that you can communicate effectively. We'll prioritize meaning-focused language use of real-world communication over linguistic exercises in a pre-planned curriculum, and each session will include your authentic work materials and my skill-building materials.

If you opt for accent reduction training, I'll share various techniques to help you reduce nervousness and project a strong vocal presence, provide technical guidance on how to produce specific consonant and vowel sounds, and work with you on the intonation and stress patterns that affect how listeners process and retain your message.

After each live coaching session, you'll have access to my online materials, and some clients choose to work asynchronously to receive recorded targeted, honest, and very detailed feedback on their speech or presentation delivery.

What I can offer is individualized speech assessments, 1-on-1 and small group English Pronunciation Skills/Accent Reduction training with self-study resources for review and daily practice, 1-on-1 and small group communication coaching, and 1-on-1 and small group Language Use Development training to help you improve your listening skills, vocabulary range, and conversational fluency.

I hold an M.A. in Applied Linguistics-Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and have created and delivered in-person and live virtual workshops/webinars, 1-2 week mini-courses, and 1-6 month programs over the past 20+ years.
