With over 600 hours of formal yoga training, Eddieberto Sanchez is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) with Yoga Alliance. His yoga journey began in 2012 at the age of 21 while studying belly dance. It was during his deployment to Afghanistan in 2019 that Eddieberto discovered his passion for teaching yoga to soldiers. He is experienced in various yoga styles, including vinyasa and gentle yoga, but adopts a physical fitness approach when teaching to military personnel. At present, Eddieberto teaches two classes at the YMCA, one being gentle yoga for ages 60 and above, while the other is a vinyasa/physical fitness approach. He also volunteers his time with Every Third Saturday, offering yoga classes to people of all fitness levels, and teaches meditative breathing exercises for better stress management to veterans and current military members.
