With a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, and current enrollment in a Doctoral Degree program for Classical Guitar Performance, I possess over fifteen years of teaching experience at various institutions such as Music Academy of North Carolina, Music and Arts Center (Huntersville, NC), Central Piedmont Community College, and Davidson College. My expertise lies in various genres including classical guitar, rock, blues, pop, jazz, and metal, and I strive to utilize technology to help my students achieve their goals as well as tailor my teaching style to fit their individual aims. My teaching encompasses standard notation, tab, chord charts, and lead sheets depending on each student's preferred method. With a focus on creating a fun and relaxed environment for my students, I set rates at $30 for 30 minutes, $42.50 for 45 minute sessions, and $55 hourly sessions for students who wish to have weekly lessons. My home office serves as a teaching studio where students need only bring their instrument (amplifier and cable available during the lesson). Witnessing my students accomplish their goals with smiles on their faces and a newfound sense of confidence and pride is the greatest reward I could ask for, and it never fails to humble me as a teacher. As an educator, I cherish the opportunity to share this joy of music with beginners and advanced students alike.

Today marks our second guitar lesson with Jamie, who is currently providing musical instruction to our two sons aged 11 and 9.5.
