Following a severe car accident at just 20 years old, I underwent a grueling 34 reconstructive surgeries in order to regain the ability to walk. To this day, I've endured 36 surgeries. As an accomplished Paralympian athlete and experienced humanitarian aid worker, my life is often hectic and there is minimal time for relaxation. Compounding my stress was recent weight gain, for which I sought a solution. However, as an individual with unique physical limitations - including a fake hip, destroyed knees, lack of sensation in my right leg, and missing muscles - attending typical yoga sessions presented challenges. Even simple tasks such as standing and walking without shoes were difficult.
Upon signing up with Brad, we had an extensive conversation about my physical restrictions, areas of pain and my objectives for practicing yoga. I began with Brad's yoga classes during a particularly stressful transitional period, as I shifted from working in an office to a home environment. Initially, my mind raced with thoughts and worries, but after completing each session with Brad, I felt significantly more relaxed. Notably, unlike traditional yoga classes that left me feeling as though I hadn't gained much benefit, Brad's classes catered to my disability and assisted me in managing stress during a demanding time. Additionally, the post-class sleep was excellent. Thanks to the online format, I was afforded the comfort and privacy of my own home - eliminating any commuting difficulties and maximizing my time. The platform also functioned seamlessly via Zoom, and I firmly recommend Brad's online classes.
Brad has played a pivotal role in developing a yoga routine that caters specifically to my unique limitations. I thoroughly enjoy working with him and highly recommend his services - particularly if you face any individual challenges or limitations.
