The total score is that we found Suzie!!! My son began playing the piano at the age of 8, and now at 11, he is excelling! Suzie did an incredible job teaching him how to read sheet music and her lessons were both fun and confidence-building. Our role as parents is to ensure our son practices for 30 minutes daily, which we break down into 5-10 minute increments. Suzie is always available to answer any questions between lessons, has created helpful videos for my son to watch during the week, and even added Kid Rock, Elvis, and Jerry Lee Lewis songs to his repertoire upon request. She is truly awesome! We are completely satisfied with her and wholeheartedly recommend her to other parents for their children.

At the age of 76, with no prior knowledge in playing the piano, Susie's explanations made me feel at ease and well-prepared for my first lesson. Her considerable patience only added to my comfort level.

Mrs. Dotson is an exceptional professor with extensive experience, unmatched patience, kindness, knowledge, and grace. Having had other piano professors in the past, we can attest that none compare to the wonder of Mrs. Dotson. She takes a genuine interest in her students' growth and tailors her teaching to suit their individual interests, ensuring they reach their full potential while keeping the classes engaging and challenging. As a result, she is an excellent professor for learners of any age. We cannot speak highly enough of her and always recommend her to friends who seek to learn piano, music theory, virtuosity, composition, and develop an authentic appreciation for piano music across genres.

Following a lengthy intermission, I resumed playing the piano as an adult and was fortunate enough to discover Suzie as my instructor. Suzie possesses remarkable teaching skills, expressing empathy towards her students' present state. She remains supportive and compassionate, and no inquiry is too foolish for her, demonstrating her admirable instincts with children as well. Suzie's talent in theory is evident, presenting lessons in a way that is easy to understand. Further, Suzie is open to teaching preferred music pieces and actively seeks out selections that appeal to her students.
