I am in search of someone to construct my retaining wall. I discovered Ricardo from CrackerJack and was extremely pleased with the outcome. Despite being a small project, seven individuals showed up to work on it, which was overwhelming but had no negative impacts. Ricardo provided step-by-step instruction on the proper installation of the retaining wall and drainage, which was very educational. Working with Ricardo and his team was a pleasure. Unlike other gardeners I've worked with, they provided a lot of helpful suggestions and had a strong sense of aesthetic design. They delivered quality work at a fast pace and were transparent about cost estimates, which I found fair. The team demonstrated a strong work ethic and seemed to enjoy working with each other, which contributed to their efficiency. Our backyard has a steep slope that takes up half of our property, which posed a challenge. However, RR tackled it by creating large, wide, and deep terraces with wooden retaining walls and a french drainage system. This transformed the slope into more usable flat area that we could replant and use as a hangout space. I was so impressed with the team's work that I expanded the project to include other garden features. RR installed 250 ft of retaining walls, roto-tilled our terraces full of hard clay with soil amendments, replaced two sections of our fence, removed part of our concrete patio, and built stairs and a ramp up to our new terraces. To top it off, they also sourced difficult-to-find plants for us and recommended material suppliers for our DIY projects. We are grateful for their excellent work and will definitely invite Ricardo and his team back for future projects.
