My passion for health and fitness has been a notable aspect of my life for as long as I can remember. During my high school years, I was proud to be part of the varsity track team, showcasing my abilities in the 800 m, 4 x 800 m relay, and javelin events. These early experiences eventually led me to participate in Sprint Triathlons, and ultimately in Obstacle Course Racing (OCR). I have spent the last couple of years competing in elite and competitive heats, consistently landing top-ten finishes as well as qualifying for the North American OCR Championships and the World OCR Championships.

However, competing in any sport depends on several factors, including following a functional training program that can help individuals reach their intended potential. In my experience, most trainers and programs advertised quick, unsustainable fixes such as "6 week abs," or "30 day fix". Soon, I came to understand the importance of addressing imbalances in our body, to help individuals work towards the best version of themselves. With this in mind, I initiated Devour Everything, which offers a well-rounded fitness approach that integrates elements of strength, flexibility, explosiveness, agility, power, balance, and endurance.

In my quest to provide comprehensive fitness coaching and training, I undertook NASM's Certified Personal Trainer and Corrective Exercise courses, complemented with Onnit's Foundations Course, which contributed to Devour Everything's distinct approach. This methodology addresses all aspects of exercise, helping to bring out any imbalance, resulting in a stronger, more functional, and resilient individual.

Moreover, Devour Everything provides online programming bolstered by a top-class fitness platform, allowing individuals to have their personal trainers available anywhere in the world.

My reason for starting Devour Everything was to find a fitness program that incorporated various modalities like strength, power, endurance, flexibility, balance, agility, and mobility. Previously, I had been doing CrossFit for the same purpose. However, the competitive atmosphere led to me pushing my body beyond its limits, neglecting the underlying issues that were affecting my performance. With Damian's systematic approach to programming, I have seen remarkable changes in every training cycle. It has improved my technique while back squatting, increased my 1RM deadlift and bench numbers, and allowed me to efficiently and confidently cycle box jumps. The increased speed while rowing and reduced time while running shows that my cardiovascular endurance has also improved. Devour Everything's training session includes a significant portion of warm-ups that raise the heart rate, activate key muscle groups and movement patterns, and prepare the body for greater specificity and intensity of the training focus. Additionally, the program has an active recovery day that reminds me to slow down and reward my body for the hard work it has put into training. As a busy professional, I love that the program comprises five one-hour sessions per week and covers all the essential elements to improve fitness and overall well-being. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking to improve their fitness and be the best version of themselves.
