David Roter Massage For Wellness
After getting tired of the low pay as a restaurant cook, I have been practicing massage for over 14 years. The idea of having a better lifestyle while still helping people led me to pursue massage therapy. I recall a time when my body was aching after a long day of cooking, and I had to save up 8 to 10 hours of my pay to book a massage three weeks in advance through a referral. The relief that I felt after the massage inspired me to enroll at the National Holistic Institute in Emeryville, CA, where I completed over 710 official hours out of the 720-hour course, including modalities such as Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Hot Stone, Shiatsu, Thai, and Accupressure. I also had the opportunity to take continuing education classes in Sports Massage, Chair Massage, and Hawaiian Massage (Lomi-lomi). It was during my education that I discovered Hawaiian Massage or Lomilomi and learned about its culture and meaning. In 2003, I started developing my spirituality, which I believe has helped me become more intuitive. Combining my spiritual practice, palpation education, and food handling experience, I am able to provide my clients with the best service to help them feel better.
