My specialization is in designing various interior styles, and this is how I do it:

1. To schedule a first consultation, you can either call or email me. This consultation is free, and it's also a working meeting. During the meeting, which can last an hour or an hour-and-a-half, I will give you a plethora of free insights.

In the course of our meeting, we'll examine a portfolio of magazine photographs that I have put together. As you flip through these photos, I will gain insight into your preferences in terms of interior design. This is a vital process.

If you have photographs of your own, that's even better.

2. Presently, I will provide you with a comprehensive project proposal. It outlines everything necessary to execute the home's design after our initial meeting. My rate is $115 per hour, but if we can determine a scope of work, I may be able to offer you a flat fee. Any purchases you make through my business will be discounted at the "net" or wholesale rate, plus a 20% fee to expedite the transaction.

3. If we both agree to go ahead, I get to work right away. Our second meeting will entail presenting you with a complete idea of the design concepts we discussed, complete with real-life selections and samples. After that, it's all about going to the stores, gathering quotes, setting a budget, and finalizing the interior.

What my customers appreciate about my approach is that the entire design is developed upfront, meaning that we maintain a consistent look. I don't care when you make your purchase. However, I've found that this increases the speed of the purchasing and implementation process when clients get a sense of the big picture and pricing.

Compiling an itemized list of everything enables you to organize your priorities. This means that when you have funds available, you know exactly which item to purchase next. I've worked with many clients over the years using this method, making sure that every project is flawlessly executed.

I enjoy working with my clients, and it's important to me that we have a great time together. I'm not a design tyrant, which means that I don't care where the inspiration comes from (once, it came from a UPS delivery person) as long as you love the selection. It's also important to interview as many designers as possible until you find the right fit.
