Cullen Griffin

Greetings!

My name is Cullen Griffin, and I offer guitar, bass, and ukulele lessons for individuals of all age groups in diverse musical styles. I have been playing music for more than a decade and have been teaching lessons for the past six years.

I believe in continuous growth in my musical skills and consider it valuable to impart the knowledge I have gathered over the years to others. I also help students learn how to learn effectively and efficiently. Having gained experience learning and playing music in various settings like high school jazz bands, jam sessions, and recording sessions, I have distilled the essential elements across different genres and present them in an easily digestible manner. Students can perceive the links between their preferred music and the underlying components of music as a whole.

My teaching is based on a customized lesson plan that is designed around the student's long-term goals. Whether it is mastering your cherished songs, understanding how to write your music, or taking the steps to become a virtuoso on your instrument, I explore music through the artists and styles that captivated your interest initially. Additionally, while teaching your favorite music, I will impart the relevant music theory that applies. Not only will you be capable of playing your favorite songs, but you will also know how your favorite artists created them. This means that you will have the tools at your fingertips for crafting music. Witnessing a student's face light up when they grasp an idea and comprehend their capability to play and create music is the most exhilarating experience!
