Growing up, Jeremy was fortunate to be part of a musical family, which provided him with ample opportunities to explore various musical situations. He eagerly took advantage of every chance, and sometimes even invited himself, to play a multitude of instruments such as clarinet, saxophone, acoustic bass, and guitar in concerts, marching bands, pep bands, jazz bands, orchestras, and school musicals throughout high school.
Jeremy went on to earn a music degree from the University of Akron and pursued further studies at Bowling Green State University. Although his formal education focused on music education, he quickly realized that teaching in a high school classroom was not a desirable option for him. Thus, he shifted his focus to private lessons and performance opportunities until the arrival of his first child made the "struggling musician" lifestyle less sustainable.
Over the last few decades, Jeremy estimates that he has taught guitar to around a thousand students and has played guitar and bass in a variety of musical settings. Some of his notable accomplishments include performing country music at Cedar Point, playing blues gigs in the Dallas and Houston regions, performing polkas in Cleveland, playing jazz solos and group performances, participating in reggae bands, playing at countless wedding receptions throughout Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky, and entertaining audiences at numerous bar gigs.

Jeremy's teaching skills are exceptional. Under his guidance, I have been able to perform intricate jazz chord melodies that I never thought were imaginable after only five lessons. For over two decades, I have been playing the saxophone, but only recently took up the guitar. Despite being initially unsure of how to apply my sax knowledge to the guitar, I became captivated by the possibilities this new instrument offered.
