For the past 5-1/2 years, my 12-year-old daughter has been a part of the Corryville Suzuki Project with Vince as her teacher for private lessons and group ensembles. One thing that immediately stood out about Vince was his direct communication with my daughter, addressing her directly and building a strong rapport from a young age. It was evident that he genuinely loves teaching kids, as shown by his interactions with my other young daughters who often accompany my daughter to lessons. Vince's positive approach to teaching includes frequent praise and constructive feedback that is never delivered in a demeaning manner. The environment at group classes is non-competitive and fosters a strong sense of community among students, parents, and teachers. Above all, Vince's musical instruction for his students strikes a balance between pushing them to excel technically and nurturing their love for the violin without causing burnout. To me, the quality of teaching at the Corryville Suzuki Project is excellent.

Vincent Phelan and the Corryville Suzuki Project have exceeded all expectations, leaving us with nothing but positive things to say. The non-competitive environment, paired with exceptional teaching and high standards, has instilled a deep love for music in our son. Mr. Phelan possesses a profound understanding of child development and interacts with each child according to their individual needs, making sure no one is left behind – including those with special needs. When our son was four, he wished to study the violin despite receiving various therapies for dyspraxia, low muscle tone, and sensory integration disorder. Mr. Phelan's unwavering positive attitude, endless creativity and constant encouragement fueled our son's passion for music, revealing a hidden talent that even his therapist did not recognize. Now at nine years old, he is currently working through the fourth book of the Suzuki repertoire, playing the violin beautifully, and we could not be prouder. We urge anyone considering a violin program for their child to experience the Corryville Suzuki Project.
