At short notice, Hassan and his team arrived to repair our AC. They efficiently diagnosed the problem, replaced a capacitor, and solved it at a fair cost. Just yesterday, a technician came out and informed me that I required a new damper that would cost me $600, which was alarming. A quick search on Google revealed that I could purchase the part for less than $160, and so I declined the offer. I decided to try CrackerJack instead, in the hopes of finding a technician who could change the damper at a more reasonable price. I submitted my information, and shortly after, Hassan called me back. He was very polite, and we scheduled an appointment on the same day, just a few hours later. To my delight, they arrived earlier than expected and replaced the damper promptly. However, there seemed to be an issue with the unit because it wasn't cooling as it should have been, despite the damper working correctly. Hassan and his team asked me about the unit's age, which was only two months old, and then checked the outside unit with advanced equipment, which indicated that it didn't have enough gas for the installation's length. They showed me the results on the computer, added more gas to the unit, and demonstrated the difference. The crew then inspected the other unit, as they like to maintain records in case something happens in the future. Hassan had been an HVAC instructor for 15 years, so I was surprised by how knowledgeable he was. Not only that, but they were honest and didn't try to scam me into paying for unnecessary repairs or parts. Unfortunately, it's common for people in the HVAC industry to be dishonest while taking advantage of your vulnerability when you have an issue. I've learned quite a bit about HVAC systems throughout the years, so I felt comfortable with Coolmax/Hassan since I knew they weren't trying to take advantage of me. They were only there to provide excellent service at a reasonable price, which they did. I can wholeheartedly recommend Coolmax for all your HVAC maintenance needs. Hassan is a superb technician who knows everything there is to know about these systems and charges an honest price for his services. I've worked with over six different HVAC companies in the last nine months, and maybe even more over the years, and the Coolmax team is the most skilled and technically proficient I've ever seen.
