Comprehensive Guitar, Bass and Banjo Instruction

Because of the coronavirus, I am offering online lessons to ensure the health and safety of my students. While I am back to teaching at Ernie Williamson Music, I offer the option to attend lessons either in-person or online.

Throughout the years, I have developed a methodical teaching approach that works well for the majority of my students. I am currently writing my own method that will be offered online in the future. Rather than solely teaching songs, I aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of the instrument and music. By listening to my student's goals, I customize my teaching to help them achieve what they aspire to do, whether it's specific songs or skills. I teach practical techniques that are not easily found through reference materials. My students often tell me that they have learned more from me in one lesson than previous teachers. I take pride in seeing my students thrive, with some going on to successful careers in music.

I have a 97% retention rate and like to keep my students motivated by allowing them to make decisions about their preferred focus. I consider it a privilege to do what I love for a living and have taught over 100 students each week for over 20 years. I strive to be a positive influence in their lives and help them become the best possible player. Each season, the store holds a recital that my students eagerly participate in, and I am always proud of their progress and hard work. I love motivating and encouraging them to reach their full potential.
