Description:

At the age of 13, I earned my title at the World Open in 2014. Over the years, I have won five Suffern County Championships and four Bergen County Championships. Additionally, I earned second place at the 6th Annual Boston Chess Congress and achieved hundreds of first place wins in school district tournaments. By the age of 14, I had a rating of 2175.

My name is Lazar and I am a FIDE Candidate Master with an online ELO of 2560. While teaching full time, I also devote myself to pursuing the Grandmaster title by studying and practicing whenever I can. I teach students of all ages, from after school programs to adult lessons at Complete Chess, and I am able to clearly communicate my thoughts across the board. By fostering a love of the game in my students, I believe that an ELO of 2000 is easily attainable. I also host free online tournaments for my students through my team Arena, which can be joined by clicking the BalkanChess team link found in my bio.
