Milton Babbitt, a Juilliard graduate with a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music Composition, obtained his PhD with distinction in Music Composition from Columbia University under the guidance of Fred Lerdahl, Jonathan Kramer, and Joseph Dubiel.
As a full-time Composer and Educator, I offer instruction in Musical Composition, Music Theory, Musicianship, Music Fundamentals, and Ear-Training. With a deep passion for music and its creation, teaching allows me to cultivate my skills as a musician and share my knowledge with others.
I strive to make complex musical concepts and terminology accessible to those who may perceive them as a barrier to pursuing music academically. Encouraging critical thinking, I aim to prepare musicians to meet the demands of today's music industry. I take the time to connect with each student, understanding their musical experiences and aspirations. Through excellence in teaching and effective learning strategies, I foster student growth and connection to music.
In adherence to my cancellation policy, students must provide 48 hours notice before a scheduled lesson to avoid being responsible for the full lesson cost.
