If he manages to avoid spilling paint, jumping between tasks, and taking on other jobs midway through, he does a satisfactory job. However, in reality, his mind is too scattered, leaving paint stains throughout the house, and he disappears to take on other projects. He starts half of a job before abandoning it to take on a new one and frequently asks what else he should do instead of completing tasks. He used water-based paint on all of my cabinets, countertops, and fence, and disappeared three times, promising to finish the next day. He neglected some jobs and only completed them halfway. The countertop is a disaster, with bubbles and the original blue color showing through the white water paint that he hastily applied without sanding, sealing, or varnishing. He similarly used white interior paint for the cabinets. Despite waiting for his return and repeatedly attempting to communicate, the contractor failed to show up to finish the job and clean up the paint mess. Each piece of the countertop has peeled off and displayed its blue hue. Given the negative experience, I would never hire him again and caution others to be careful when considering him. If he is hired, someone should supervise him throughout the task.
